U10 Hauppauge United Kicks Off Spring Season with a Dominant Win

The U10 Hauppauge United girls' soccer team started their Spring season with an impressive 4-0 victory over Levittown Elite in their LI Cup matchup. Despite the cold and cloudy weather, the girls brought the heat, showcasing their skill, teamwork, and determination on the field.


The match kicked off with a strong effort from Kensie Buscher, whose aggressive play led to a foul and an early free kick. Kika McDermott stepped up to the challenge and confidently scored the first goal of the game, setting the tone for Hauppauge United's dominant performance.


Alexa Perlstadt was a force to be reckoned with, displaying quick footwork and smart passing to help advance the ball to her teammates. On the defensive end, Kaitlyn Asseng played a crucial role, using her physicality to win battles and send the ball forward to keep the pressure on Levittown Elite.


Team captain for the match, Daniella Pinzon, led by example, intercepting passes and distributing the ball with precision to spark offensive opportunities. Her intelligent decision-making and awareness on the field played a key role in maintaining possession and creating scoring chances.


Ashley Leinz showcased her versatility by excelling on both offense and defense. Her efforts paid off when she made a dynamic run up the field, broke away from the defense, and netted the second goal of the game. Emma Pinelli controlled the center of the field, demonstrating excellent ball-handling skills and taking multiple shots on goal that kept the opposing team on their toes.


Tenley Jensen played a pivotal role on both ends of the field, using her technical footwork to navigate through defenders and contribute to offensive plays. Her determination was rewarded with a well-executed shot that found the back of the net. Emersyn Drake brought an aggressive edge to the game, battling for possession and making crucial plays to keep Hauppauge United in control.


To cap off the victory, Kika McDermott sealed the win with a brilliant solo effort, stealing the ball from the opposition, driving up the field, and unleashing a powerful shot for her second goal of the match. Meanwhile, new addition, Riley Franco was rock solid in goal, making crucial saves and ensuring a clean sheet for the team. Her presence in goal gave the United the confidence they needed to start the season!
