Heart, Hustle, and a Final-Minute Finish: Alliance Battles to 5-5 Draw in Thriller

In a match packed with action, intensity, and nonstop excitement, the Hauppauge Alliance and Hota delivered a 10-goal spectacle that ended in a dramatic 5-5 tie—thanks to a last-minute free kick that stunned the crowd.

From the opening whistle, it was clear this wasn’t going to be an ordinary match. Alliance came out strong, fueled by standout performances and crisp teamwork. The first half saw Brody Mannino light it up with two goals—his first a dazzling solo effort that left defenders in the dust, and the second courtesy of an incredible assist from Nikolas Martinovic, who anchored the midfield with grit and vision on both ends of the pitch.

Maxim Torpey was a dominant presence at central defensive midfield, controlling nearly every booming punt from Hota’s goalkeeper. His ability to stay composed under pressure helped Alliance maintain their shape and turn defense into offense quickly.

After halftime, Alliance came out firing. The pressure on Hota intensified, and it paid off. Mikey D’Allessandro one-timed a beauty into the back of the net off a well-executed corner, then followed it up just minutes later with a second goal to give Alliance the lead.

With the score tied late in the game at 4-4, Sean Granshaw crashed the box and buried a rebound to give Alliance a 5-4 advantage, sending the sidelines into a frenzy.

But in the final minute, fortune flipped. A free kick was awarded to Hota just outside the box—and they made no mistake. The ball curled just over the wall and into the corner of the net, sealing a wild 5-5 draw.

While the ending was bittersweet, the performance was anything but. Alliance showed tremendous fight, skill, and heart—proving yet again why they're a team to watch.

One thing's for sure: the Hauppauge Alliance left it all on the field.
