We’re kicking off the season in style! Hauppauge Soccer is thrilled to invite all of our intramural players and families to take part in a special Opening Ceremony before the NY Empire FC match on Friday, April 5th at the SUSA Orlin & Cohen Sports Complex in Central Islip.
Here’s everything you need to know to be fully prepared:

Hauppauge Check-In Begins: 6:30 PM
NY Empire FC Game Time: 8:00 PM
Opening Ceremonies Start: 6:30 PM sharp
Field Location: Field 1
Arrival & Parking
Parking will be tight, so we recommend arriving early to allow time to find a spot.
Primary parking is available at the SUSA Complex main lot (Blue).
Overflow parking is in the back lot behind the main facility (Pink).
After parking, head straight to Field 1, where Hauppauge Soccer check-in tables will be set up.
Who Should Attend?
All players from Divisions 1 through 4 are expected to attend — this is a celebration for everyone in our intramural program.
Parent-coaches should plan to attend with their teams and participate in the event.
Parents should remain on the sidelines once kids are checked in, except when invited onto the field for team photos.
Family, Friends, Parents, and Grandparents are all invited to attend. The more the merrier for a great celebration followed by an elite semi-pro soccer experience.
What to Wear
Players should wear comfortable athletic clothing and sneakers.
There is no need for cleats or shin guards, as the participants will not play actual soccer games but may be invited to participate in soccer activities.
All players will receive new team jerseys at check-in, so please allow time for that process.
What to Expect
Players will be grouped into their new teams for the spring season.
Team rosters will be posted online after April 1st following the coach's meeting.
The ceremony includes music, photos, and a chance for players to be introduced in front of the home crowd.
A professional photographer will be on-site, and photos will be shared after the event.
After the Ceremony
The NY Empire FC game against Future FC kicks off at 8:00 PM.
All Hauppauge players and families are encouraged to stay and watch for free.
It is Hauppauge Appreciation Night, so travel teams will attend with their families, and it will be a great community event.

All youth players will be invited on the field for the national anthem
Outside food and drinks are currently allowed, so feel free to bring your own snacks, or the concession stand will be open for your convenience!
This event is all about celebrating our players, building excitement for the season, and giving families a fun night out together. We can’t wait to see everyone there in full Hauppauge spirit!
