What to Expect at Our Club-Wide Parent Meeting

We’re excited to invite you to a club-wide Parent Meeting as the Hauppauge Soccer League enters a bold new chapter. This is more than just an update—it’s a conversation, a community gathering, and a shared vision for the future of soccer in Hauppauge.

What’s Happening at the Meeting?

Here’s a quick look at the evening’s flow:

15–20 Minutes: Vision from the New Club President

Rob Mannino, our new club president and a lifelong Hauppauge soccer supporter, will introduce the future direction of our club. He’ll share his vision for building a stronger, more unified soccer community—one that prioritizes player development, parent engagement, and long-term success.

20–25 Minutes: Open Q&A with Parents

Your voice matters. We want to hear your thoughts, answer your questions, and gather your feedback. This is a chance to share constructively and think big—about the systems we build together and the club's future.

10–15 Minutes: Getting Involved – Club Committees

Want to play a bigger role in your child’s soccer experience? We’ll introduce a number of volunteer committees and let you know how to get involved in ways that match your interests and schedule. From field maintenance to event planning to communications, there's a place for everyone to get involved and be part of the club in a bigger way.

A New Direction, Rooted in Community and Growth

We’ve taken your feedback to heart. Recent parent surveys made it clear that we need to improve in areas like communication, accountability, and structured development. The good news? We’re already making bold changes:

  • Structured Player Pathway (Ages 4–16+): A clear year-by-year development plan, with mid-season progress reports and transparent goals.

  • Strengthened Partnership with VIVA Soccer: A professional training structure that ensures continuity and quality across all age groups.

  • NYCFC Youth Partnership: We’re now an official youth partner! This gives us access to coaching development, discounted NYCFC tickets, and ID camp opportunities for select players to have the chance to be part of the NYCFC youth system.

  • Trainer Rotation System: Trainers will be rotated among teams, and players will benefit from various coaching styles and standardized team development.

  • Specialized Workshops: Goalkeeper training, striker clinics, and more specialized training sessions will be available throughout the season.

Building Stronger Together

What truly sets Hauppauge apart is our community. The friendships formed in these fields last for decades. This club is about more than soccer—it’s about building something that stays with our kids for life.

We are going to be prioritizing community events, and we are excited to announce some upcoming club-wide community events:

  • Empire Fundraiser – April 5: A fun night out that supports our teams.

  • Memorial Day Weekend Event – May 24 at Bald Bird Brewing Co.

  • NYCFC Club Outing – Summer 2025: A full-club bonding event with NYCFC match tickets.

Join the Movement

We’re asking for your partnership—not just in the stands, but behind the scenes. Help shape the future of Hauppauge Soccer by joining one of our parent committees:

  • Field & Equipment – Keep our facilities game-ready.

  • Marketing & Communication – Help tell our story and grow our visibility.

  • Intramural Program – Support our youngest players’ experience.

  • Travel Program – Assist with logistics and communication.

  • Special Events – Plan memorable club-wide celebrations.

  • Interleague Program – Support players and teams in our interleague program.

This is just the beginning. We’re ready to write the next chapter of Hauppauge Soccer League—with you.

Let’s build something great. Together.
